The Loneliness of the Modern Man
Against atomization and self-branding. The more “connected” we’ve become, the more alone we are. Every platform promises community, but
Trying to build a website without much coding experience feels a bit like wiring a house with the lights off. There’s trial, error, and the occasional spark, but that’s the point. Aredhall is being built in the open, one imperfect step at a time.
There’s something kind of funny about staring at a blank screen, trying to build a website when you barely know what a div tag is. You start confident, like, “How hard can it be?” Then suddenly the whole thing breaks because you forgot a slash, and you’re not sure if you’ve accidentally launched a blog or detonated a small bomb.
I’ve realized I’m not bad at starting things; I used to be, but now I know how to just jump off the cliff of uncertainty. I’m bad at the middle part. The discipline part. The “keep showing up even when you don’t know what you’re doing” part.
But that’s the whole point of this first post, to keep going anyway.
So here we are. Messy beginnings. Shaky code. Way too many browser tabs open. But we’ll get there. One error message at a time.
You've spent enough time scrolling. Here, we slow down and build something real.
